Follow your passion…

Has anyone ever asked you this question? I have heard this question many times over the years and admit to being a little overwhelmed by it. My thoughts run into overdrive as I analyse all the permutations of the things I am passionate about. Of course, it depends on the context. For me it would be my partner and my children, for sport it would be football and for recreation it would be hill walking. For work it would be to serve people. I didn’t always know that. PS And by the way, Dan also produced a pretty cool career guidance book . It has been written in Japanese Manga style i.e. a cartoon character, giving the basics of career...

Operating Systems

I have just updated the operating system on my computer. I confess that for me it was a decision forced upon me. I had tried to speed up the old system using ideas and techniques from books and magazines, and though I feel I am a competent computer user, I admit that all I managed to do was slow things down further. So, my next action was to reinstall the old operating system from scratch, after backing up my documents of course. A further step backwards as I ended up with no sound – no driver installed, the screen kept telling me. After...
