It seems that the self help fraternity have been saying for many years that you can change a habit in 30 days. A simple Google search on changing habits returns 150 million references, so there is a lot of useful stuff out there, with varying levels of detail, from the simple to the very complex ideas. I was ending a session with a coaching client recently. We reviewed his progress, which had been considerable since we started the programme and we were only on the 4th session out of 6. He commented that he was discussing the subject of coaching with his neighbour, and sharing his achievements. When asked how coaching had helped, he was stuck.
