Coaching Explained > Is it Regulated?

The European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) is currently leading the development of a European accreditation scheme of executive, business and personal coaches and mentors. This is to recognise professionalism in coaching and maintain standards in the profession. Membership requires adherence to the EMCC's Ethical Code, which guides its members and those involved in coaching on the way they should be conducting their activities. The Code sets out what the client can expect from the coach in the coaching relationship.
